RentRo

The RentRo Zero Maintenance guarantee

RentRo acts as the designated service provider for the flat and absorbs the cost of routine maintenance, so tenants and owners are not left chasing repairs. Owners pay nothing for it.

Last updated 16 October 2026

Who pays: owners pay nothing. The guarantee is funded by the tenant's service charge of ₹1,000 per month, which is included in the monthly rent.

1. What is covered

RentRo absorbs the cost of service, labour and standard replacement parts for routine maintenance and accidental minor damage. The guarantee covers only the following:

  • Electrical: replacement of fused standard lightbulbs, and repair of faulty electrical sockets.
  • Plumbing: repair of minor leaks in taps, showerheads and standard PVC pipe joints.
  • Fixtures: tightening of loose door hinges and cabinet handles, and minor carpentry realignments that result from normal daily use.

2. What is not covered

The guarantee applies strictly to normal wear and tear. RentRo may send its vendors for the repairs below, but the full cost of parts and labour is billed to the tenant, or deducted from the security deposit:

  • Damage from intoxication, physical altercations or wilful destruction of property, such as broken windows, kicked-in doors or severe wall damage.
  • Plumbing blockages caused by putting prohibited items into toilets or drains, such as plastics, sanitary products or solid food waste.
  • Damage to major appliances caused by improper use, or by voltage fluctuations from unauthorised tenant-owned devices.

3. How to report a problem

To claim the service, the tenant must report the defect, leak or damage on the official RentRo WhatsApp number, +91 77953 44141, within 24 hours of the problem occurring.

4. Who does the repair

All repairs must be carried out by authorised RentRo personnel. Tenants may not hire outside mechanics, electricians or plumbers. Unauthorised repairs void the guarantee.
